At the age of 14, Ralph Nasca began his journey in the car wash industry, towel drying cars at a local car wash. His dedication and hard work quickly saw him rise through the ranks to manage a car wash for four years.

Ralph, along with his partner Mike Melton, owned and operated a successful full-service car wash for six years. Their hands-on experience provided them with invaluable insights into the industry.

Ralph Nasca and Mike Melton founded Pro-Tech Service Company in 1984. Their combined experience of repairing equipment from all manufacturers and their understanding of the car wash business laid the foundation for Pro-Tech's success.

Meet Our Owners

Michael Buth

Michael holds a BBA from University Of Portland where he also played baseball. Double major in Marketing & Management. Managed a hi-volume (12k-15k vehicles/ month) full-service car wash in Dallas for 3 years. Recruited by national brand chemical supplier and managed sales territory in Texas and surrounding states for 10 years. Equipment sales manager for 19 years at ProTech Service Company before purchasing the company in May of 2023

Dan Ervin

On my sixteenth birthday I started working in the car wash industry. In the past thirty-six years I have worked in all aspects of the car wash industry. For fifteen years I worked in running and maintaining car washes for a group that had started two different chains. For three years before joining Pro-tech services, I was the director of maintenance for Colonial Car Wash. At that time, I was responsible for eight full-service car washes, nine lube centers, and one self-serve car wash.

I have worked for Pro-Tech for the last twenty-six years. During this time, I have installed several different types of washes and maintained them. In May of 2023 I took over the reigns of Pro Tech with my three partners. At that time I moved into the operation side of Pro Tech.

Scott Brown

US Army veteran, worked in the automotive, and construction equipment repair industry before coming to work for Pro Tech. Since starting with Pro Tech I have worked my way up from Service Tech to Service Manager and have overseen installations of numerous conveyorized tunnels and taken care or service-related repairs on all types of washes for over 25 years. Factory trained and familiar with multiple lines of equipment and control systems.

Kerry O’Brien

I started my career in southern California working for a local manufacturer as a service technician. During my 33 years in the industry, I have traveled all over the world installing washes. I installed and trained customers as well as distributors on all aspect of the wash systems. I have been a master electrician since 2000. I started and ran a successful contractor company that specialized in the vehicle wash industry before moving back home to Dallas.
